Job Overview

The Category Application Group Manager will work closely with multiple departments like Research and Development (R&D), Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Supply Chain. What You’ll Be Doing

The role is both strategic and hands-on. You will not only lead a team but also take part in the planning, development, and testing of new food products. Here are the key responsibilities:

Lead and Inspire Teams: Guide your team to think creatively, work efficiently, and focus on results. Promote teamwork, growth, and innovation.
Product Innovation: Translate customer insights and market research into practical food product ideas that meet quality and safety standards.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with different teams such as R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure projects are aligned and completed on time.
Project Management: Oversee the timelines of new product launches, making sure everything is delivered on schedule and within budget.
Ensure Compliance: Make sure all operations follow health, safety, and food quality guidelines set by Nestlé and national authorities.
Develop Your Team: Train and mentor your team members. Help them learn new skills, stay motivated, and grow professionally.
Promote Innovation Culture: Encourage open communication and creative thinking within your team and the wider organization.

Qualifications You Need

This role requires someone with deep knowledge of food processes, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate should have:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field.
8 or more years of experience in food product development, food innovation, or a technical food role.
Strong skills in people management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
A deep understanding of food production techniques, product development pipelines, and market-driven innovation.
The ability to manage time well and stay focused in a fast-paced work environment.
A desire to create sustainable, customer-focused food solutions that add value to the brand.
Excellent communication, planning, and decision-making skills.
